Troy Story is a Sky HISTORY documentary asking whether the legend that has endured for three thousand years - the Trojan War - actually happened. Hocus Pocus Studio created the full TV graphics package for the series, bringing ancient history to life through frame-by-frame animation, detailed historical illustration and dramatic motion graphics.
Everything was developed from genuine archaeological reference - classical pottery, ancient maps and period artefacts - to build a visual language that could hold its own alongside serious historical content. The result spans siege battles, the iconic Trojan Horse, navigational charts of the Aegean and fire-lit combat sequences, with compositing and particle effects adding atmosphere and scale.
