Princess Yachts – X Class
Motion graphics for the Princess Yachts X Class documentary, produced for Craft Films with a graphic style designed to keep a long-form film visually engaging from start to finish.
Documentary work presents a different kind of challenge. The footage is fixed, the talking heads are already shot, and the risk of the whole thing feeling flat is real -- especially on a longer format film. Craft Films brought us in to make sure that didn't happen.
The brief was to create a graphic language that felt organic but still elegant and contemporary, something that sat naturally alongside the craftsmanship of the X Class itself. With such strong footage to work with, we focused on building a style that added visual energy without ever competing with what was on screen.
Getting motion graphics to feel native to documentary rather than bolted on takes care. Too polished and it pulls focus. Too restrained and it disappears. The aim throughout was to keep things visually alive while letting the story do its job.
