Innerly – SJT Films
A large-scale series of CGI situational judgement test films for Innerly's recruitment testing platform, using detailed character animation to assess soft skills and non-verbal behaviour.
Psychometric testing is a well-established part of recruitment, but the situational judgement test is a different kind of challenge to design for. The premise is that candidates watch a series of scenarios and their responses are monitored, which means the animation has to be nuanced enough to carry meaning beyond the dialogue. Body language, micro-expressions, the way a character holds themselves in a difficult conversation: all of it becomes part of the assessment.
That pushed us towards detailed, stylised CGI characters rather than anything more abstract. The art style needed to be rich enough to carry those non-verbal cues without becoming distracting. Getting that balance right across 30 minutes of content and 10 distinct environments was the main creative challenge, and it's something we're genuinely proud of.
It's one of the larger production outputs we've delivered, and one of the more unusual briefs we've worked on.
